Appointment of Non-Executive Director and UK Chief Operating Officer

Arrow Global, one of Europe's largest and fastest growing providers of debt purchase and receivables management solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Luís Albuquerque as a non-executive director with effect from 7 March 2016. Maria Luís will be joining the Audit & Risk Committee.

Maria Luís was most recently Minister of State and Finance in the Portuguese government up until the end of 2015, having previously held various roles in the Portuguese treasury and finance ministry. Whilst Minister of State and Finance, Maria Luís also served as a Member of the Board of Governors at the African Development Bank, the European Stability Mechanism and the European Investment Bank.

As a serving member of the Portuguese Parliament who has held senior finance and treasury positions in the Portuguese public sector, Maria Luís will bring a wealth of international and debt management experience and will complement the existing experience of the Board and Arrow Global's expansion into new geographical markets and new asset classes."

Arrow Global is also pleased to announce the appointment of our new UK Chief Operating Officer (COO), Phil Marsland, with effect from March 2016. Phil Marsland brings with him a wealth of experience in financial services, data and analytics, and operations - all key drivers of Arrow Global's on going growth. He joins Arrow Global most recently from Lloyds Banking Group where he was Strategic Analytics Director. Prior to that he had held a number of senior leadership positions in a career spanning direct/customer relationship marketing, general management and consulting with businesses such as Capital One, American Express, Vodafone and Virgin Active.
