Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Barratt Developments PLC ("Barratt") today announces that Tessa Bamford will be appointed to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2009.
Tessa Bamford is currently a Director of Cantos Communications, the online communications services provider, where she leads the corporate client relationships. Before joining Cantos as a founding director in 2001, Tessa held a number of senior investment banking roles in London and New York with Schroders.

No further disclosure is required in respect of Tessa Bamford under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
