Appointment of Non Executive Director

IPSA Group PLC (AIM: IPSA), the developer, owner and operator of power generation capacity in Southern Africa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Metcalf to the Company's board of directors, as a non executive director.

Phil is a Chartered Engineer with more than 30 years senior operational and international experience in the Power, Energy and Telecommunications sectors. He previously developed and built projects for Stone and Webster. He has developed over 5,000 MW of generating assets and has constructed more than 1,500 MW of gas fired power plants in Europe and worldwide. He is Member of the Institute of Energy and of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Richard Linnell, Chairman of IPSA, said: "We are delighted that Phil has agreed to become a director of IPSA. Phil joins us with experience in the sector and a demonstrated enthusiasm for Africa. His links to IPC will strengthen the bond between the two companies and further focus efforts in rebuilding the company. His experience of building large and complex thermal power plant in emerging markets will be invaluable as IPSA contributes in addressing South Africa's predicted power deficit."
