Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman

Hampson Industries PLC, the specialist tooling and composite product solutions provider for the global aerospace industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Poulter as Non-executive Chairman with immediate effect.

John will take over from Chris Geoghegan who will be stepping down from the role. Chris has been a member of the Board since September 2007 and Chairman since December 2007.

John is a former Chairman and former Chief Executive of Spectris PLC and has wide experience in a range of business areas. He has served on the boards of a number of public and private companies during his career, recently as Chairman of Filtronic PLC and is currently Chairman of 4imprint Group PLC.

There are no further details relating to John Poulter which require disclosure under

 LR 9.6.13 R of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Chris Geoghegan said: "Having appointed a new senior team at Hampson and with plans in place to complete the restructuring of the business portfolio, I feel the time is right for a new Chairman who will help steer Hampson through the next phase of its development. I wish John and the management team every success for the future."
