SJP announces that from 1 January 2012, Sarah Bates will succeed Michael Sorkin as the nominated Senior Independent Director of SJP, in accordance with Provision A.4.1 of the UK Corporate Governance Code (the "Code") published in June 2010.
Sarah Bates was appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Company in September 2004. She is currently Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Investment and Risk Committees. Michael Sorkin is due to step down as Non-Executive Director of the Board from 31 December 2011, as previously announced on 16 September 2011.
