Appointment of new non-executive director

Babcock is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Stewart as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 November 2012. She will also serve as a member of the Remuneration, Nominations and Audit & Risk Committees of the Board.

Anna Stewart is currently Chief Financial and Commercial Officer at Laing O'Rourke Corporation where she has worked in various positions since 1982.

Welcoming her to the board, Chairman Mike Turner said: "I am delighted that Anna has agreed to join us and believe that her extensive experience of commercial and international business operations in particular will be of great value to Babcock."
