APPOINTMENT OF NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR

JSC GEORGIAN RAILWAY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR

7 May 2025 - JSC Georgian Railway ("GR") today announces that Mr. Lasha Abashidze has been appointed by GR's Supervisory Board to the role of Director General of GR, with effect from 7 May 2025. Mr. Abashidze succeeds Mr. David Peradze, who has decided to step down from his role to pursue new professional opportunities. The Supervisory Board expresses its gratitude to Mr. Peradze for his leadership and contributions to the company during his tenure.

Prior to his appointment as General Director of GR, Mr. Abashidze worked as a Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia from 2013 to 2014. He has also served as a Vice Mayor and First Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi from 2015 to 2017, and as Head of Vake District in Tbilisi from 2014 to 2015.

Mr. Abashidze also held a number of positions at GR, including Head of Operations from 2010 to 2011, Deputy Director of Freight Transportation from 2008 to 2010, and Head of Procurement Agency from 2007 to 2008.

His other professional experience includes serving as Head of Internal Audit at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia from 2012 to 2013, and as Business Development Director at a Financial Investment Institute in London, United Kingdom from 2010 to 2012.

Mr. Abashidze holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), which he earned from 2004 to 2005, and an LLM in International Law from Tbilisi State University, where he studied from 1999 to 2004.
