Appointment of New Finance Director
Lonzim Plc (AIM: LZM), is pleased to announce the appointment of David James Armstrong as Finance Director of Lonzim with immediate effect.
Mr Armstrong (FCA), age 44, is currently the Finance Director of Lonrho Plc and brings with him extensive experience of operating in Africa having been, until October 2004, the Commercial Director of Diageo Africa with combined functional responsibility for finance, information systems, strategy and business development. Mr Armstrong contributed to the successful deployment of Diageo's pan-African growth strategy, encompassing over 50 countries. Mr. Armstrong has also been the COO of McArtherGlen in the UK and Europe with retail sales of Euros 1.3 billion.
With Mr Armstrong's appointment as Finance Director of Lonzim today, Mrs Jean Ellis has stood down as the Company's Finance Director and today assumes the role as a non-executive director of the Company.
David Lenigas, Lonzim's Executive Chairman commented:
