Appointment of New Director
The Board of directors of BIH is pleased to announce that Abdulmunim (Abdul) Sultan Said Bin Brek (aged 64) has been appointed as a Director of the Company with effect from today as a nominee for Zarara Energy Limited ("ZEL"), the Company's majority shareholder (following the resignation of Brock Tuppeny as a Director of the Company and nominee of ZEL, as announced by the Company on 4 February 2025).
Abdulmunim Bin Brek graduated in 1986 with a BSc. in Geology and Physics from the United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain. In 1987 he joined Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) as a graduate trainee in Carbon Plant and worked in various areas of Smelter Operation and by 2001 he was promoted to a position of General Manager Smelter Operation. In 2013, DUBAL and EMAL were merged to form EGA (Emirates Global Aluminium) and following the merger he was appointed to the position of SVP Shared Technical Services and from 2021 to the end of 2022 he was Advisor - Midstream.
Abdulmunim Bin Brek is currently a founder and a director of a management consultancy business and a corporate solutions business both based in the UAE.
There are no disclosures to be made under UK Listing Rule 6.4.8R in respect of Abdul Bin Brek and ne does not own any shares in the Company.
