Manchester Building Society - Appointment of new Chief Executive

Manchester Building Society Group ("the Society") today announces that Allan Hodges, who has been interim Chief Executive of the Society since May 2013, has decided he wants to step down from this role at the AGM being held today.

Paul Lynch, currently Operations Director of the Society has been appointed as interim Chief Executive to succeed Allan, subject to regulatory approval. Paul has been with the Society since 1985 and has been Operations Director since 2002.

The Society's AGM is being held at Manchester Art Gallery at 11:00am today, 10 June 2016.

David Harding, Chairman of the Society, said: 

"I would like to thank Allan for all his efforts in leading the Society during the last three years - it has been a pleasure to work with him and I wish him all the best for the future. Paul has played an invaluable role as Operations Director of the Society and I look forward to working with him in his new role of interim Chief Executive."
