Appointment of new Chairman and Board change

Top agribusiness authority to lead Plant Impact's global business drive

Plant Impact plc (AIM: PIM), an innovator in crop enhancement solutions, announces the appointment of leading agribusiness authority Dr David Jones as Chairman with immediate effect.

Martin Robinson, who has been the Group's Chairman since 2005, will remain on the Board as a non-executive director. The Board would like to thank Martin Robinson for his considerable contribution to the Group's development since his appointment in 2005. 

David Jones has extensive and senior experience in the agribusiness sector which the Board believes will be very beneficial to Plant Impact's development. David Jones was the Chairman of Arysta Lifescience Corporation between 2008 and 2010. From 2000-2007, David Jones was Head of Business Development for Syngenta International having previously been Strategy and Product Director of Zeneca's Agrochemicals Division. From 2000 to 2003, he was the principal manager for the Syngenta merger. This involved the simultaneous demerging of the agricultural businesses of Novartis and Zeneca, the unification in a new entity - Syngenta - and the immediate flotation on three exchanges.

Prior to this David Jones had marketing/operational roles in Asia, Europe and emerging markets.

David Jones today said: "Having watched the development of Plant Impact over the past several years, I have been impressed by their progress with an exciting portfolio of crop enhancement products.
