Micro Focus International plc28 June 2007 28 June 2007 Micro Focus International plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director Micro Focus International plc ("Micro Focus"; LSE MCRO.L), announces theappointment of Dr Paul Pester as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Dr Pester, 43, is Managing Director of Consumer Banking at Lloyds TSB Group,with responsibility for the Group's 15 million retail banking customers. He isalso Chairman of the British Bankers' Association (BBA) Retail Committee, andChairman of the Travellers Cheque Association. From September 2007 Dr Pester will join Moneyfacts Group, the leading financialinformation services provider, as CEO. Prior to joining Lloyds TSB, Dr Pester spent six years with the Virgin Group,the last five of which were as the Group Chief Executive Officer at VirginMoney, the Virgin Group's financial services business. Earlier roles includedDirector of Corporate Strategy and Planning at AMP (UK), preceded by seniorpositions at McKinsey & Company and Scientific Generics, providing strategyconsulting to technology based companies. Dr Pester holds a first class honoursdegree in physics from Manchester University and a doctorate in mathematicalphysics from Oxford University. Commenting on this appointment, Kevin Loosemore, Chairman, said: "Paul is a very important addition to our Board. He has proven internationalleadership skills and extensive business management experience at the highestlevel.
