Appointment of Simon Breakwell as Non-Executive Director and Mark Millar as Company Secretary

The AA plc, the UK's largest breakdown service, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Breakwell as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Simon will join the Board with immediate effect and will bring significant digital experience. He is currently a Venture Partner at TCV, one of the leading global mid cap funds and a non-executive director of HomeAway Inc. Prior to that role he established the European operations for Uber.com after he had successfully established, and ran the industry leading Expedia travel business.

Bob Mackenzie, Executive Chairman of the AA, commented:

The above disclosure is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R, and the Company confirms that no further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to L.R. 9.6.13R.

The Company also announces the appointment of Mark Millar as General Counsel and Company Secretary with effect from 8 September 2014. A qualified solicitor, Mark has twelve years of experience in the role of Company Secretary and General Counsel and joins from Domino's Pizza Group plc. Mark also brings a wealth of commercial and legal expertise including ten years as a City solicitor, latterly with Allen & Overy.
