Appointment of Andrew Blowers as Non-Executive Director

The AA plc, the UK's largest breakdown service, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Blowers as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Andrew will join the Board with immediate effect. He is currently non-executive Chairman of QMetric Group, the innovative insurance provider, and his career spans 25 years in the UK insurance industry. He was the CEO of Swiftcover.com and IIC NV from 2004 to 2009 and an executive director of Churchill Insurance before then.

Bob MacKenzie, Executive Chairman of the AA, commented:
