Appointment of interim Group CEO

13th October 2017 - Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Mr. Michael Doorly as interim Group Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the Company. He will take up his role with immediate effect.

Mr. Doorly has been with INM for over 20 years, where he has held a number of senior executive roles, most recently that of Company Secretary and Chief Risk Officer.

Before joining INM, he worked in Technicon Ireland Limited (now Bayer Diagnostics) and KPMG. A graduate of UCD, Mr. Doorly is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director.

INM's Chairman, Leslie Buckley, said "on behalf of the Board, I wish Michael every success in his new role and very much look forward to working with him in driving the business forward."
