Appointment of Group Finance Director

Further to the announcement on 12 October 2012 regarding the retirement from the board of Paul Hampden Smith, Travis Perkins is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Buffin as the Company's new Group Finance Director.

He is expected to join Travis Perkins during the second quarter of 2013. Tony has an exceptionally strong track record in financial management, corporate finance and in creating and executing organic growth strategies. The board believes it is fortunate to have secured the services of such a strong candidate and looks forward to welcoming Tony into the Company.

Tony joins from Coles Group, the AU$32bn turnover Australian retail business, where he has been Chief Financial Officer since July 2009 and where he is responsible for finance, property, IT, strategy and financial services. Prior to joining Coles, Tony held a number of senior finance and general management roles including, financial controller of the Boots Group PLC and CFO and CEO of the international business of Aimia Inc, a leading loyalty management company. He has a first class honours degree from Cambridge and is a qualified chartered accountant.

There are no further details to be disclosed under 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
