Thor Mining PLC09 October 2006 THOR MINING PLC Appointment of Exploration Manager Dated: 9 October 2006 Thor Mining PLC ("Thor" or the "Company") the specialist metals companycurrently focussed on advancing molybdenum-tungsten and uranium projects in theNorthern Territory of Australia today announced the appointment of Mr StuartTill as Exploration Manager, with effect from 26 October 2006. Stuart Till, aged 44, member AUSIMM Stuart Till is a West Australian geologist with 20 years exploration anddevelopment experience in a variety of geological terrains and commodities andfor the last 10 years has held a senior role with Dominion Mining Limited. Hebrings to Thor a pragmatic hands on approach to modern exploration with a broadknowledge base including database and computing skills, field logistics,equipment maintenance in remote terrains, tenement management and a thoroughunderstanding of drilling equipment. Stuart's input will allow Thor to manage acost effective, efficient exploration department. Initially Stuart will supervise the start up of our uranium exploration, with ahelicopter borne HoistEM(TM)survey on its Hale River and Plenty Highwaytenements. The survey is being flown by Worley Parsons GPX Airborne Pty Ltd inOctober.
