Appointment of Executive Director

North Midland Construction PLC (the "Company"), the UK provider of civil engineering, building, mechanical and electrical services to public and private organisations, announces the appointment of a new executive director.

Donald Stuart Proud, 59, is today appointed to the Board as an executive director. He currently holds 36,040 shares in the Company.

Commenting on the appointment Robert Moyle, Chairman of the Company, said: Stuart Proud joined the Group 36 years ago and has progressed through the management structure to his current role as managing director of the NMCNomenca division. His success and vision in that position and the importance of NMCNomenca to the Group are recognised by his promotion to the Main PLC Board.

There are no disclosures to be made under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) in respect of Stuart's appointment to the Board.
