APPOINTMENT OF EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTION CONSULTANT

Taihua announces that with effect from today it has appointed Mr David Hopkins as its European Distribution Consultant. Mr Hopkins has been appointed to help the Company exploit the opportunities presented by the success in obtaining EDQM approval for the marketing of its Paclitaxel API.

Mr Hopkins has extensive experience in the Pharmaceutical industry generally and API distribution specifically. Currently he is working with Azelis S Black as API Distribution Manager which includes co-operating with Chinese API manufacturers.

Nicholas Lyth, Non Executive Chairman commented: "Taihua obtained EDQM approval for its Paclitaxel API 18 months ago. In that time, progress in distributing into this market has been slower than has been hoped for. As a result the Board has decided to strengthen its skills base in this area and we are delighted to appoint Mr Hopkins given his experience in this area."
