Appointment of Director 

British Sky Broadcasting Group plc ('BSkyB' or 'the Company') today announces that Adine Grate has agreed to join the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 17 July 2013.

Adine is an experienced finance and investment professional who has operated at the top tiers of Nordic based international business for the past two decades, holding various senior management positions within Investor AB and being a member of the Executive Board between 1999 and 2007. She is currently a Board member of Sampo OY, Three Scandinavia and SOBI AB, and Chairman of Nasdaq OMX Stockholm's Listing Committee. Adine was a Board member of Evry a/s (formerly Edb Ergo Group AS) until 2011.

Nicholas Ferguson, Chairman of BSkyB, said: "Adine Grate is a highly experienced and capable executive who will bring a strong finance and strategy background to Sky and will add further breadth and depth to the skills of the Board. We look forward to welcoming Adine to Sky."

There are no other details that are required to be disclosed in respect of Ms Grate's appointment under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
