Xaar PLC14 September 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 14 September 2005 Xaar plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director Xaar plc ("Xaar"), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered inCambridge, announces the appointment of Robert Eckelmann as a non-executivedirector, with effect from 1 October 2005. Mr Eckelmann, 49, started his career with the US Government in the Department ofCommerce where he was involved in global trade policy for the science andelectronics sector. In 1988 he joined Intel Corporation at an early stage inits development in a role within 'The office of the President', before moving toSingapore to launch Intel's Asian business. He later became VP and GeneralManager for the whole EMEA region. Mr Eckelmann, a US citizen, holds severalEuropean non-executive directorships including Wolfson Microelectronics plc inthe UK. Xaar's Chairman, Arie Rosenfeld commented: "Rob Eckelmann has an excellent track record of working with growing electronicscompanies. His experience at Intel and internationally will enable him tocontribute to the next stage of Xaar's growth as it moves forward into newmarkets and geographies."
