Appointment of Director

DCD Media plc, the independent TV production and distribution group, is delighted to announce the appointment to the Board with immediate effect of Nicky Davies Williams as an Executive Director of the Company.

Nicky Davies Williams has had a distinguished career in Media distribution. Nicky was appointed CEO of DCD Media's distribution division, DCD Rights, in December 2005 when she sold NBD TV, a company she founded and ran successfully for over 22 years, to the Group.

An English Literature graduate from Leeds University, Nicky began her career in the record industry before establishing her own company, NBD Pictures, an international TV sales agency originally specializing in music specials and events.

The catalogue grew to represent many of the larger independent production companies such as Celador Entertainment, working on series with Paul McKenna, and comedy drama from Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell, as well as Hat Trick Productions' comedy catalogue.

In 1990, Nicky was awarded the Broadcast Business Award for services to the international exchange, distribution and marketing of television programming.

She has held non-executive directorships on the board of The Channel Television Group from 1991-1998, as part of the ITV Network was one of the few women Directors within the ITV, and a founding director of Women in Film and Television, UK.
