Ms Sampson is a director of, and has an effective 17.25% shareholding in,Amandla Energy Resources Pty Limited (formerly known as IMARA Energy Resources)("Amandla") which, in turn, holds an option to acquire 13,434,612 ordinaryshares in the Company (being 15 per cent. of the current issued share capital)from Metropolitan Asset Managers Limited. Ms Sampson, who has an extensive business and civil service experience, is aformer senior manager at the Ministry of Communications and Sentech Ltd. Shestarted her career in the financial services sector and, since leavinggovernment in March 2003, has played a prominent and influential role in anumber of black economic empowerment transactions.
