Candover Investments plc - Appointment of non-executive director

Candover Investments plc announces the appointment of Nicholas Jones as a non-executive director with effect from 14 April 2008.

Mr Jones is Vice Chairman of Lazard in London. He was previously a director of J. Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. Ltd and, prior to that, a chartered accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. He is a non-executive director of Ladbrokes plc and Newbury Racecourse plc.

There is no further information to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules issued by the Financial Services Authority.

Mr Jones does not hold any shares in Candover Investments plc or any interests in any such shares.
