Conviviality Retail Plc (AIM: CVR), one of the UK's largest franchised-led off-licence chains, is pleased to announce that Amanda Jones will be appointed as the Company's new Chief Operating Officer and to the Board, with effect from 1 December 2014.

Amanda is a highly experienced retail professional with over 27 years of experience in the sector. She joins Conviviality in a newly created role from Nisa Retail Limited, which supports independent retailers across the UK, where she was Chief Operating Officer from early 2013. At Nisa, Amanda led the drive to effect transformational change within that business.

Prior to this, Amanda held a number of senior roles within Marks & Spencer PLC from 1990 to 2002, latterly as Business Development Manager for the International Franchise Group. She then joined Waitrose (2002 to 2013), where she was influential in developing and delivering new retail formats which delivered significant growth to that business, culminating in her role as Head of Development (Home).
