Appointment of Committee Member

Pursuant to its obligations under Listing Rule LR 9.6.11 R (3), Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') wishes to notify that Geoffrey Howe, who was appointed a non-executive director of the Company on 4 January 2011, has now been appointed a member of the Remuneration Committee, the Audit Committee, the Risk Committee and the Nomination and Governance Committee, each with effect from 13 February 2012.
