Appointment of Commercial Director
NetPlay TV plc (AIM: NPT), the interactive gaming company, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Bjarke Johannes Lund Larsen to the Board and role of Commercial Director with immediate effect.
Bjarke, 31, joined NetPlay in January 2007, and is currently Chief Operating Officer of the subsidiary NetPlayTV Group Ltd. Bjarke has extensive experience in the online gaming sector and a proven track record of delivering within the Group, where he oversaw the acquisition and integration of Vernons.com, all operational activity and has been instrumental in directing and implementing the Group's gaming strategy.
Bjarke is beneficially interested in 105,333 ordinary shares (of which 60,000 ordinary shares are held in his wife's name), representing 0.04% of the Company's issued share capital and total voting rights.
Commenting on the appointment, Clive Jones, Chairman of NetPlay said:
"Having been with the Group for seven years, Bjarke has a gained a strong understanding of both the industry, along with the commercial and strategic demands of the Group. The appointment of Bjarke will further strengthen the Board and we look forward to working closely with him to continue driving growth for our shareholders."
