Appointment of Coal Broker

The Company is pleased to announce that it has appointed London Commodity Brokers ("LCB") as its exclusive coal broker to advise on the negotiation of the Company's first coal offtake agreements. For several months the Company has teamed up with LCB on identifying potential customers for coal from the Company's Elitheni mine in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. SNR, advised by LCB, are in discussions with potential customers on the terms of an offtake agreement and further announcements will be made in due course.

LCB has extensive experience in the coal industry, having facilitated and brokered global trades of almost 200 million tonnes of coal since its inception in 2005, of which 113 million tonnes have been on a FOB Southern Africa basis. LCB brokered in excess of 25 million tonnes of coal from Richards Bay Coal Terminal in 2010 alone.
