Appointment of Christine Ourmieres-Widener as Chief Executive Officer
Flybe announces that it has appointed Christine Ourmieres-Widener as its Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 16 January 2017.
Christine has spent her entire career in the aviation and travel industries, with an initial background in engineering and aeronautics. She started her career in the Maintenance Department of Air France, later working in sales systems, then Director of Sales & Marketing for Amadeus France. Christine served as Vice President International Sales, General Manager UK & Ireland, then Vice President in New York for Air France KLM. Between 2010 and 2015, she was the CEO of Cityjet, and since then has been Chief Global Sales Officer for American Express Global Business Travel.
Christine has a Masters in Aeronautics from the École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Aérotechnique (ENSMA) and an MBA from ESSEC Business School.
Simon Laffin will return to being Non-Executive Chairman when Christine joins the business.
There are no further details to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Summary of Christine Ourmieres-Widener's remuneration
Christine's remuneration includes an annual basic salary of £400,000. Her annual bonus entitlement is up to 100% of salary and Christine will be entitled to participate in the Flybe Performance Share Plan. Flybe will pay £120,000 relocation costs for Christine and her family to move from New York. Christine's employment notice period is 12 months on either side.
