Appointment of Chris Surch as Group Finance Director
Shanks Group plc, a leading European sustainable waste management company, announces the appointment of Chris Surch (47) as Group Finance Director on the departure of Fraser Welham. The Board thanks Fraser Welham for his considerable contribution to the company over 13 years.
Prior to joining Shanks, Chris worked for Smiths Group plc holding a number of senior finance roles. Most recently Chris was Finance Director of the Speciality Engineering division, a business which had historic revenues of over £1bn with around 100 operations spread out across the globe. Prior to this he worked for TI Group plc after spending twelve years working for Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Chris will join Shanks with effect from 1 May and Fraser Welham will stand down as Finance Director from today and will leave the business following a short handover.
