ACG Metals
ACG METALS LIMITED
("ACG" or the "Company")
Appointment of Chief Operating Officer
ACG is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Carter as its Chief Operating Officer.
Mr Carter brings over 40 years' experience in mine engineering, operations management and project development. He will play a key role as ACG advances its copper growth strategy, leading operations for ACG globally, starting with the Gediktepe Mine and working closely with the senior management team to deliver on the Company's acquisition plans.
Prior to joining ACG, Mr Carter held a key leadership role at the Frontier Mine (DRC), where he successfully managed a multi-phase expansion, doubling production capacity from 100,000 to 200,000 tonnes per day twice in the period of 20 months. Earlier in his career, he held executive and technical leadership roles at Centerra Gold and True Gold Mining, where he was responsible for the construction and optimisation of large-scale open-pit and heap leach operations in Central Asia, West Africa, and the Americas. Mr Carter holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Montana Tech and an MBA from Queen's University.
Over the course of his career, Mr Carter has led teams through technically complex mining projects and has demonstrated a strong track record of delivering results across emerging and frontier markets. His expertise in both project execution and operational readiness will support ACG as it advances its next phase of development.
Artem Volynets, Chief Executive Officer of ACG, said:
"Peter's appointment further strengthens our leadership team as we seek to scale ACG's operations and become a leading copper producer on the London market. That we have been able to attract someone of Peter's calibre and experience less than a year after acquiring Gediktepe is testament to our strategy and the hard work of the team we are building.
Peter's unrivalled technical expertise, hands-on operational experience, and track record of delivering complex projects in challenging jurisdictions will make him a valuable addition to our team. We are excited to get to work, particularly as the planned sulphide expansion at Gedikepe progresses on schedule and on budget towards first production in 2026."
