Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Synety announces the appointment of Paul Williams as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 3 June 2013.

Paul is a chartered management accountant with over 18 years experience in the technology and technology services sector, having worked previously for IBM, ECsoft Group plc and, most recently, Ciber where he was the group financial controller and interim CFO of the International Division. Furthermore, Paul has recently spent time working in Dubai as CFO for Columbus Middle East.

Paul was instrumental in developing and maintaining the financial tools and processes required to support Ciber's International Division through a period of both organic and acquired growth during which time operations extended from 5 countries to 16. Paul was involved in multiple acquisitions and start-ups, helped the company in achieving Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, successfully implemented several company-wide ERP systems, controlled audit and external reporting, and was heavily involved in the creation of a new IT outsourcing operation.

Paul has a great deal of experience working with blue chip technology firms and in particular building and developing the financial management and control platforms required to support sustainable growth.
