Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

eg solutions plc (AIM: EGS), the back office optimisation software company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Woolley to the Company's Board as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") with immediate effect.

Mr Woolley has a wealth of experience in senior finance roles and joined eg in November 2014. Prior to this, he was Senior Management Accountant at Pets at Home Group plc, the UK's leading specialist pet omnichannel retailer and services provider, where he played a fundamental role in the group's successful IPO. Michael is a CIMA qualified management accountant and has a degree in accountancy.

Commenting, Elizabeth Gooch, Chief Executive Officer of eg, said: "Michael's appointment further strengthens the newly formed Board and we are pleased with the progress he continues to make to the financial and operational performance of eg. We welcome him at a pivotal time in our realignment and refocus." 

Michael succeeds Jonathan Kay as Chief Financial Officer. Jonathan will step down from the Board of the Company and of its subsidiaries with immediate effect, however he will remain employed by the Company until the completion of his notice period.

Mr Michael Francis Woolley, aged 29, has 5,000 options over ordinary shares that were issued on 7 January 2015 under the Group's share option plan. These options are exercisable between 7 January 2019 and 6 January 2025 at a price of 67.5p, subject to certain vesting criteria.

Save as set out in this announcement there are no further matters to be disclosed under Rule 17 or paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules for Companies.
