ABG is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelvin Dushnisky as Chairman ofthe Board of Directors, with immediate effect.

Mr Dushnisky replaces Derek Pannell who has served as Acting Chairman sinceJune 2012 and, prior to that, as Senior Independent Director since theformation of ABG in 2010. Mr Pannell has informed the Board of his intentionnot to seek re-election at the Annual General Meeting in April in order toconcentrate on other commitments. The Board thanks him for his significantcontribution in helping shape ABG as an independently listed company and wisheshim all the best for the future.

Mr Dushnisky joined the ABG Board in June 2012. He is currently SeniorExecutive Vice President of Barrick Gold Corporation ("Barrick") and a keymember of Barrick's senior management team. Mr Dushnisky has more than 25 yearsof experience in broad-ranging roles across the mining industry. He joinedBarrick in 2002. Prior to that he was a member of management at SuttonResources Ltd., which owned the Bulyanhulu and Kabanga properties in Tanzaniabefore they were acquired by Barrick. Mr Dushnisky has had a close associationwith ABG's Tanzanian assets and business for nearly two decades.

Following this appointment, the ABG Board comprises ten members, including fiveIndependent Non-Executive Directors, two Executive Directors and three nomineesfrom Barrick, including Mr. Dushnisky. The Board will continue to consideropportunities for Board appointments, to ensure that it retains the appropriatebalance and expertise to meet the Company's business objectives.
