Goldenport Holdings Inc. Appoints Alexis Stephanou as Chief Financial Officerand Proceeds with Sale of Treasury Stock

Goldenport Holdings Inc. ("Goldenport" or "the Company"), (LSE: GPRT) the international shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of container and dry bulk vessels announces that it has appointed Alexis Stephanou as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

At the same time, the Company announces the sale of its treasury stock position which amounts to 427,887 shares to Alexis Stephanou, in a move intended to align the interests of the new CFO with the Company. The agreed sale price of 43.25p per share is equal to the closing share price on Monday 3 February 2014.

Alexis joined us six months ago as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Investor Relations. He has demonstrated his financial acumen on several projects that we have been working on and has helped me refine the strategy of Goldenport."

Alexis Stephanou, CFO, added: "My move from UBS to Goldenport coincided with the beginning of a long-awaited recovery in the dry bulk sector. I believe that exciting times lie ahead and have decided to take a meaningful participation in the Company."

Alexis Stephanou joined Goldenport in August 2013 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Investor Relations. He was previously Managing Director in the investment banking department of UBS AG and has a proven track record in deal origination, structuring and execution across a wide swath of industries with a particular focus on financial institutions and shipping.
