Sefton Resources (AIM:SER), the independent oil and gas exploitation and production company with interests in California and Kansas, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Brand (56) as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

Bill Brand has acted as a Financial Consultant to Sefton Resources since August 2011. He has over 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, having started with Monsanto Oil Company and then its successor BHP Petroleum Americas. He was in several domestic and international senior accounting and planning positions from 1982 through 1994, in Denver Colorado and Houston Texas. In addition, he has had experience in senior accounting and planning positions with several start-up oil and gas companies in Denver Colorado, including HR Energy, PetroHunter Energy, Galaxy Energy, Teton Energy, and PRB Energy. Bill also has experience in the international telecommunications industry with US West and then Media One, and in manufacturing and distribution with Monsanto Company in St. Louis Missouri and Orica USA in Denver Colorado. Bill holds an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Southern Illinois University and is a CPA, inactive, State of Texas. The role of Chief Financial Officer will not be a Board position.

In accordance with its articles of association and the electronic communication to shareholders provisions of the AIM Rules the Company audited accounts for the year to 31 December 2011 are now available on the Company website and can be viewed at www.seftonresources.com 

The Company will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 14th June at 10:00am at the offices of Chantrey Vellacott DFK, Russell Square House, 10/12 Russell Square, London WC1B 5LF.
