Appointment of Chief Executive

Oxford Advanced Surfaces Group ("OAS" or "the Company"), the AIM listed technology developer targeting a number of global markets including eyewear, monitors, solar panels and the electronics market, is pleased to announce that it has today appointed a new Chief Executive Officer.

Adrian Meldrum, currently the Business Development Director and on the board of IQE Plc, will be joining OAS on 1 October 2012. Adrian has an extensive background in sales, general management and business development, and is ideally placed to take OAS though to the next stage of commercialisation.

His previous positions include Executive Vice-President and General Manager of the Telecoms Division of Bookham Incorporated (now Oclaro Inc) and VP Sales & Marketing and VP Business development at Bookham Plc.. Prior to that Adrian was Product and Development Engineer and Product Line and Commercial Manager at JDSU. Adrian has a first class degree in Physics and Mathematics from Manchester Metropolitan University.
