Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
Board Changes
Finsbury Food Group plc (AIM: FIF), a leading manufacturer of cake, bread and morning goods, is pleased to announce today the appointment of John Duffy as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Group, with immediate effect.
David Marshall has indicated his intention to step down as Chairman following the Annual General Meeting on 25 November 2009 and will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Deputy Chairman. Martin Lightbody will replace David Marshall as Non-Executive Chairman on that date.
John Gerald Duffy, 44 has been the Chief Operating Officer of Finsbury and has ably assisted Martin Lightbody since 2 September 2008. He has considerable experience in the industry having held leading positions with WT Foods, Noon Products Ltd, Golden Wonder and Mars.
