Future PLC06 June 2006 6 June 2006 Future plc Future appoints new Chief Executive Future, the international special-interest media group, announces today theappointment of Ms Stevie Spring as a director of the Company and its ChiefExecutive with effect from 3 July 2005. She will replace Greg Ingham who hastoday announced his decision to step down as Chief Executive. Stevie Spring, 48, is a senior media executive with broad experience of managingand growing creative businesses. Most recently she was Chief Executive of ClearChannel, the UK's largest outdoor media company, which she led for six yearsthrough a period of substantial change and progress. Prior to this she spentsixteen years in national and international advertising company management atagencies including Young & Rubicam and Grey. She started her career in marketingand television. Roger Parry, Chairman of Future, said, "We are delighted that Stevie has agreed to join Future and to have attractedsomeone with her skills and experience to lead the business into its next stageof development. She has a long and successful track record of managing anddeveloping creative businesses, both at media owners and advertising agencies.This experience, together with her energy, vision and extensive contacts amongstadvertisers and agencies, will complement the very strong publishing teams wehave at Future. She chairs the Federation ofGroundwork Trusts, the UK's largest organisation delivering sustainablecommunity regeneration projects, and is on the boards of Arts and Business, theNational Advertising Benevolent Society and the Women's Advertising Club.
