APPOINTMENT OF BOB MURPHY AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND BOARD UPDATE

Cobham announced on 23 April 2012 the appointment of Robert (Bob) Murphy as Chief Executive Officer ('CEO') of Cobham with effect from 25 June 2012. The Board of Cobham has today officially appointed Bob as an Executive Director with effect from 25 June 2012. Cobham confirms that there are no further disclosures to be made under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in respect of Bob.

On 18 November 2011, Cobham plc ('Cobham') announced the intention of Andy Stevens, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, to take early retirement from the Cobham Board due to the recurrence of a long term serious back injury. As anticipated, Andy has remained on the Board to assist with the management of the company while a new CEO was appointed.

The Board would like to thank Andy Stevens for his tremendous contribution over the past nine years at the company, all of which was as a member of the Cobham Board. Andy will continue to serve as a non-executive member of the Board until 1 August 2012, after which time he will provide support to Bob and the Board as required until the end of his notice period.

John Devaney, currently Executive Chairman of Cobham, will revert to non-executive Chairman on 25 June 2012.
