Gleeson(M J)Group PLC22 August 2006 M J GLEESON GROUP PLC Appointment of an Interim Executive Director M J Gleeson Group plc announces the appointment, with effect from 21 August2006, of Edwin John Lawrie, currently Company Secretary, as an Interim ExecutiveDirector of the Company. He will remain as Company Secretary. It is theintention that further announcements on Board appointments will be made in duecourse. Mr Lawrie, ACII, FIRM, ACIS, 45, joined the Company in 1999 as Company Secretaryhaving been previously Assistant Group Secretary of Higgs & Hill plc andlatterly HGB Construction Limited, following its acquisition of the constructionactivities of Higgs & Hill. At the date of his appointment, Mr Lawrie's interests in ordinary shares andoptions over ordinary shares in the Company were as follows: Ordinary Shares: 19,205 Share Options: 128,892 There are no further disclosures that are required to be made pursuant to LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
