Highland Gold Mining Limited18 October 2005 Henry Horne has been appointed Chief Cost Control Manager (Deputy GeneralDirector) of Russdragmet, the Russian management company of Highland Gold MiningLtd, the Russian gold producer operating in Khabarovsk, Chita and Chukotkaregions, with effect from 6 October 2005 and reporting to Dmitry Korobov theManaging Director. His specific focus will be to introduce and manage bestpractices in planning, inventory control, purchasing, budgetary and costcontrol. Henry Horne (47) graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa,majoring in Financial Accounting and Business Economics. He worked in a numberof Gold Fields Group member-companies in African countries in differentpositions in auditing, accounting, budgeting and projects from 1982 to 1999. In1999 he joined the Navan Group and was appointed Executive Director and Managerof Finance and Purchasing of Navan Chelopech AD and Bimak AD, a Bulgarian copper/gold producer. In 2004 Henry Horne joined Kinross Gold Mining Company andbecame Deputy General Director and Director of Finance of Omolon Gold Company,Magadan, Russia (a Subsidiary of Kinross Gold Mining Company, Canada), leadinggold mining operations at Kubaka and Birkachan, producing 140,000 toz Auannually, and exploration activity within the Magadan region.
