Morrison(Wm.)Supermarkets PLC26 May 2005 Morrisons to appoint Richard Pennycook as Group Finance Director Morrisons is pleased to announce that Richard Pennycook, 41, has accepted thecompany's offer to become Group Finance Director. Mr Pennycook is currently Group Finance Director of RAC Plc, the quotedspecialist motoring and vehicle management company which was recently acquiredby Aviva. He will join Morrisons on 1st October 2005. Before joining RAC Plc he was Group Finance Director of HP Bulmer Holdings Plc.Other senior appointments include Chief Executive Officer and Finance Directorof Welcome Break Holdings Limited, Group Finance Director of Laura Ashley Plcand Finance Director of JD Wetherspoon Plc and various positions at Allders Plc. He was also a non-executive director of Richer Sounds Plc for six years. Mr Pennycook qualified as an accountant with Arthur Andersen after receiving a1st class degree in Economics and Accounting from Bristol University.
