Millennium & Copthorne appoints Audit Committee Chairman
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc today announces the appointment of independent non-executive Director Nicholas George, 56, as Chairman of the Audit Committee with immediate effect.
A chartered accountant, Mr. George joined Millennium & Copthorne as an independent non-executive Director in June, 2009. He is a Director of LGT Capital Partners (UK) Limited and sits on the Boards of GK Goh Holdings Limited and euNetworks Limited, both of which are traded on the Singapore Stock Exchange and is a Director of Aberdeen New Dawn Investments plc which is traded on the London Stock Exchange. Mr. George spent most of his career in investment banking latterly as a Managing Director of JP Morgan Securities (previously Jardine Fleming) from 1993 to 2002 and as a Managing Director of HSBC Securities from 2002 to 2003.
Mr. George replaces Christopher Sneath, 76, who will retire from the Board on 5 May 2010.
