Application for Block Listing - Update

Further to the announcement dated 21 December, the Company wishes to clarify that application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission to the Official List of a Block Listing of 19,317,259 new ordinary shares of 10p each in Petra Diamonds Limited and to the London Stock Exchange for such Block Listed shares to be admitted to trading.

The application is being made in respect of shares to be issued under the following share option schemes:

When issued, the shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.
