Appeal of the Competition Council's Decision no. 77 dated December 20 2017

Societatea Energetica Electrica S.A. has filed at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, an appeal against the Decision of the Competition Council no. 77 dated December 20 2017, by which the Company has been sanctioned with a fine amounting to lei 10,800,984.04, representing 2.98% of the total turnover achieved in the financial year 2016.

Trough the complaint, Electrica asked the court, in principal, to cancel the sanction mentioned above as unlawful and unfounded and, in alternative, to reduce the amount of the fine (file no. 3889/2/2018).

At the same time, it was requested the suspension of the enforcement of the Decision no. 77 dated December 20 2017, until the final settlement of the appeal (file no. 3883/2/2018).
