Re: Appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal
ISG announced on 22 September 2009 that the Office of Fair Trading had decided, following its industry wide investigation into cover pricing, to impose a fine on Pearce Construction ( Midlands) Limited ( now a dormant company) and its immediate parent ISG Pearce Limited, for a technical breach of competition law in 2001. ISG acquired these companies in November 2007, but in 2001 these companies were under the ownership of Crest Nicholson plc. ISG today announces that its subsidiary, ISG Pearce Limited, has submitted an appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal in respect of the quantum of fine imposed, the methodology in which the fine was calculated and its inclusion as an entity responsible for the infringement.
