Announcement regarding Jersey manager

The Board of abrdn Latin American Income Fund Limited notes the announcement made today by abrdn plc ("abrdn") of the sale of abrdn Capital Limited ("aCL"), abrdn's discretionary fund management business in Jersey, to LGT (the "Sale"). The Sale, which is subject to regulatory approvals, includes abrdn Capital International Limited ("ACIL"), a subsidiary of aCL. 

ACIL currently provides the Jersey regulatory manager function to the Company. ACIL delegates the investment management of the Company to abrdn Investments Limited which is carried out by abrdn's London and Sao Paolo based emerging markets debt and equities teams. The Sale does not include abrdn Investments Limited, which will remain within the abrdn group.

The Board wishes to confirm that, notwithstanding the Sale, the investment management of the Company's portfolio will be retained by the abrdn group and will continue to be carried out by abrdn via its emerging markets debt and equities teams.

Arrangements are currently underway to ensure, as a minimum, a timely transfer of any regulatory Jersey based management and administration functions to another suitable Jersey based entity. The Company will be making a further announcement to confirm its new management structure in due course.
