Electrica informs investors that, following internal checks within its subsidiary Electrica Serv, certain inconsistencies in the payment processes have been identified. From the information held so far, the amount under verification does not exceed EUR 1 million.
In accordance with internal governance and compliance policies, the financial auditor and the competent authorities were notified. A thorough internal control was also ordered to assess the situation and implement the necessary corrective measures.
In order to ensure the necessary framework for carrying out the verifications imposed on the company's financial operations and to eliminate any possible interference in the verification process, the company's economic director was revoked from office, and the mandate contract of the general manager was suspended by the consensus of the parties for a period of 30 days until the completion of the control.
The executive management has been reorganized to ensure operational continuity and strengthen internal control mechanisms, in order to be able to prevent such situations in the future. Electrica remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
