Aberdeen Asset Management PLC08 February 2005 Tuesday 8 February 2005 ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT RE: MURRAY VCTs Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (Aberdeen) notes the announcements by the Boardsof Murray VCT PLC, Murray VCT 2 PLC, Murray VCT 3 PLC and Murray VCT 4 PLC(together "the Murray VCTs") of their intention to terminate their managementcontracts with Murray Johnstone Limited, a subsidiary of Aberdeen AssetManagement PLC. These decisions by the Boards of the Murray VCTs are disappointing in thecontext of the substantial improvement in the performance of the funds sinceAberdeen's decision to replace the team, which had managed them since theirrespective launches in 1995 - 1999, and the supportive stance of the UKShareholders' Association in relation to this move.
